Do you think you have to be young to have an adventure? To be able to step out of your comfort zone and make a difference? Well, I am living proof that it is never too late. For the past year or two I have sensed God gently nudging me to step out of my comfort zone and follow my passion for giving. One day, while surfing on the internet, I happened across the Adventures in Missions website and saw they had a trip to Vietnam. At first I thought this was something I couldn’t possibly do at my age on my own, but God kept nudging me until I could no longer avoid his call. So, I set off for Vietnam in July of 2014 and my life from that day forward will never be the same. The people I met there taught me the true meaning of humility and actually seeing God’s work being carried out half way across the world was truly inspiring. I had the great fortune of actually being present with a woman who was hearing and accepting the good news of the gospel for the very first time and it brought me to tears. I will carry that experience with me for the rest of my life.
Vietnam is a beautiful country with warm and welcoming people. There is so much work to be done in that country and I can only say you will be blessed beyond belief and your life will be enriched by participating in a mission trip there.
